About
Independent properties deserve direct guests.
South Africa's guesthouses, B&Bs and boutique hotels are some of the most loved places to stay anywhere. Guests write glowing reviews, come back year after year, and tell their friends. And then a large slice of the revenue leaves the country as OTA commission.
We started GuestMagnet because that trade never felt fair. The OTAs are good at one thing: being visible at the moment a traveller searches. That's a solvable problem. A property with strong search rankings, a presence in AI answers and an instant way for guests to talk to it doesn't need to rent its own customers back.
The timing matters too. Travel search is changing faster than it has in twenty years — travellers are asking AI assistants where to stay, and the answers pull from a different playbook than Google's ten blue links. Properties that get this right early will own their local answer for years.
We're South African, we work with South African properties, and we build for the guests they actually host: locals on a weekend away and travellers flying in from around the world.
What we believe
Direct first
OTAs are a channel, not a landlord. Your website and your WhatsApp should be where most guests book.
Your guests stay yours
Every direct booking gives you the guest's contact, their preferences and the chance to win the repeat stay.
Straight answers
Visibility takes months to build, and we say so. You'll always know what we did, what it cost and what it returned.
